FUTURE DEFENCE INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES (FDIS)

A message from Colonel (Retired) Patrick Crowley MBE DL, Chief Executive, South East Reserve Forces’ & Cadets’ Association

In one week’s time, on 1 August 2024, FDIS begins!

The aim is to transform the maintenance of the Volunteer Estate. Implementation of the FDIS contract on the Volunteer Estate should deliver a higher standard of service, based upon industry standard maintenance regimes. The firm ‘VINCI’ is the supplier in our region; it will also support Greater London RFCA. The current SERFCA Estates team will have a change in role, primarily to assure delivery by the supplier, VINCI.

This is a new way of doing business and SERFCA and VINCI are working very closely together to ensure the new system works. Inevitably, there may be a few hiccups to start off with, but both SERFCA and VINCI teams are determined to do their best to make this work all end users. Collaboration between all stakeholders will be vital to make this new system a success.
