CFAV Stories: Second Lieutenant Muller

Introducing Second Lieutenant Muller from Surrey Army Cadet Force

“My Surrey ACF journey began at Deepcut Detachment when I was 15. Starting later than most didn’t slow me down—I grabbed every opportunity that came my way!

In 2019, I was lucky enough to take part in Exercise Southern Cross, an exchange with the Western Australian Army Cadets. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that opened my eyes to just how much the ACF has to offer. That trip sealed my passion for the cadets, and in 2020, I returned as a Cadet Force Adult Volunteer (CFAV), ready to give back.

Over the last five years, I’ve pushed myself to grow, attending courses at CTC Frimley Park, taking on challenges, and even completing my Army Cadet Commissioning Board.

But my favourite moment was the final parade on camp—watching cadets earn their badges and promotions, knowing they’ve put in the effort and achieved something great.

My goal is simple: to continue inspiring and supporting cadets, giving them the best possible experience—just like the ACF did for me!”
