The Jockey Club Signs Armed Forces Covenant

The South East Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (SERFCA) Employer Engagement Team recently attended the prestigious Grand Military Gold Cup at Sandown Park Racecourse. This event served as a fitting backdrop for the formal signing of the Armed Forces Covenant by The Jockey Club.

The Armed Forces Covenant represents a pledge to support the Armed Forces community, recognising their contribution to the nation and ensuring fair treatment for service personnel, veterans, and their families. The Jockey Club’s decision to sign the Covenant underscores their commitment to fostering meaningful connections with the Armed Forces and supporting those who serve.

Present at the signing was Lieutenant General Charles Collins DSO OBE, Commander of the Army’s Home Command, and Baroness Dido Harding, who represented The Jockey Club and Leigh Thomas, one of SERFCA’s Regional Employer Engagement Directors.

The Grand Military Gold Cup, a historic racing event celebrating its military heritage, provided the perfect setting for this collaboration.

SERFCA remains dedicated to fostering partnerships that benefit the Armed Forces community. We are proud to have supported The Jockey Club in formalising their commitment and look forward to seeing the positive impact of their engagement in the years to come.
