The Buckinghamshire Lord-Lieutenant Awards 2025

On Thursday 16th October we were at the Gateway in Aylesbury to host the Buckinghamshire Lord-Lieutenant Awards

The Lord-Lieutenant, The Countess Howe, presented 7 Meritorious Service Awards and 4 Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets were appointed. In addition to these, there was the Best Reservist Award kindly sponsored and presented by Esri UK who are also a Gold ERS Award Holder.

Thank you to A Company, 7 Rifles for their support and to the Cadets from Buckinghamshire Army Cadet Force for the brilliant fanfare! We were also delighted to have a number of Cadets from Aylesbury Sea Cadets and Milton Keynes Sea & Royal Marine Cadets form a Cadet Guard of Honour to greet the Lord-Lieutenant.

The Lord-Lieutenant awards ceremony is a formal and prestigious event; recognising individuals who demonstrate the volunteer ethos and to build and nurture the enduring relationships that are so important to your County and local community. This is done through the awarding of Medals and His Majesty Lord-Lieutenant’s Certificates for Meritorious Service, amongst other awards.  His Majesty Lord-Lieutenant’s Certificates for Meritorious Service were instituted in order to afford public recognition to those members of the Reserve and Cadet Forces whose efforts are not recognised by the twice yearly Honours Lists.
