12 June 2025 | The third Armed Forces Briefing of the month was hosted at RAF Benson, welcoming representatives from across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
As the only tri-Service event of its kind in the region, the briefing provided a comprehensive update from the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force. It offered valuable insights into current defence priorities and initiatives, while also helping to strengthen the vital relationship between the Armed Forces and the wider community.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of key findings from the recently published Strategic Defence Review, which gave attendees a forward-looking perspective on the future of Defence.
We were pleased to welcome around 90 guests, including senior officers from all three Services, a Member of Parliament and several distinguished local leaders and stakeholders.
Guests also had the unique opportunity to get up close to a Chinook helicopter in the hangar — a memorable experience made possible thanks to the support of 606 Squadron RAF Reserves. A sincere thank you goes to everyone who attended, and to the Reserve and Cadet units whose informative and engaging displays contributed to the success of the day — with special thanks to 606 Sqn for their fantastic support.
