Oxford University Officer Training Corps “Ex Blue Labouche”

Ex BLUE LOBUCHE, NEPAL | A Himalayan Adventure

Over three unforgettable weeks, a team of 12 Officer Cadets from Oxford University Officer Training Corps embarked on a challenging and inspiring expedition through the majestic Himalayas in Nepal — culminating in the successful summit of Lobuche East (6,119m).

This once-in-a-lifetime journey tested the Cadets both physically and mentally. From navigating countless miles of rugged terrain and enduring steep climbs to facing unpredictable Himalayan weather, every step pushed the team to new heights.

Beyond the physical challenge, cadets had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich culture of Kathmandu, gaining a deeper appreciation for Nepal’s heritage and way of life.

This is just one of the many extraordinary opportunities available to members of Oxford UOTC. If you’re looking for adventure, challenge, and growth — look no further.

Here at SERFCA we were delighted to provide some of the funding towards the trip, alongside The Ulysses Trust, Army Sports Lottery, Sandhurst Trust, Adventurous Training Group and RMAS — for their generous support in making this expedition possible.
