His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of The Royal County of Berkshire Awards 2026

Our 2026 Awards season came to a close on Tuesday 3rd November, as we returned to The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, for His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of The Royal County of Berkshire Awards.

The Best Reservist Award was kindly sponsored by Equinix and presented by their Talent Acquisition Manager, Rashmi Mohindra.

The Lord-Lieutenant of The Royal County of Berkshire, Mr Andrew Try Esq, also awarded 4 British Empire Medals, 8 Meritorious Service Certificates, 2 Ulysses Trust Outstanding Service Awards and 4 Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets were appointed.

One of the Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets was also awarded the Best Tri-Service Cadet of Berkshire, kindly sponsored by Cadet Direct. Cadet Staff Sergeant Vani Vinay from 6 Platoon Woodley of The Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Force, was the very worthy recipient.

Congratulations to all of the recipients!

Special thanks to The Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Force for their support on the evening and to the Buglers for calling in the Lord-Lieutenant’s arrival.

The Lord-Lieutenant awards ceremony is a formal and prestigious event; recognising individuals who demonstrate the volunteer ethos and to build and nurture the enduring relationships that are so important to your County and local community. This is done through the awarding of Medals and His Majesty Lord-Lieutenant’s Certificates for Meritorious Service, amongst other awards.  His Majesty Lord-Lieutenant’s Certificates for Meritorious Service were instituted in order to afford public recognition to those members of the Reserve and Cadet Forces whose efforts are not recognised by the twice yearly Honours Lists.Â
