SERFCA Bake off!

On Thursday 18th September 2025 the SERFCA team held our own “Bake off” event in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Members of staff from our Aldershot office submitted 14 of their finest creations to the competition, judged by our in house expert, Group Captain Keith Lane (Retd) (also Head of Engagement and Chief of Staff!). 

On display were:

  • Bake 3 – Phil’s Banana Loaf
  • Bake 4 – Laura’s Chocolate Truffles
  • Bake 5 – Chloe’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Cake
  • Bake 6 – Tracy’s Steak & Kidney Pie
  • Bake 7 – Tash’s Red Onion & Mozzarella Rolls
  • Bake 8 – Tash’s White Choc Chip Cupcakes
  • Bake 9 – Yvonne’s Sticky Toffee Cake
  • Bake 10 – Tracy’s Mandarin Cheesecake
  • Bake 11 – Sacha’s White Chocolate Speckled Egg Fudge
  • Bake 12 – Sacha’s Oreo Tart with strawberries
  • Bake 13 – Abbi’s Tiffin
  • Bake 14 – Lee’s Mixed Fruit Cake

Thanks to the generosity of our bakers (and bake eaters!) we have raised a total of £164 for Macmillan so far. The donation link can also be seen below.

The number of people being diagnosed with cancer is rising and more people are surviving cancer than ever before, so we need to act now to prevent a crisis in cancer care. Macmillan works with partners to provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience including the Macmillan Support Line, money advisers, award-winning cancer booklets, the online community and Macmillan nurses, GPs and support workers.
